the voyage
So great a life I left
The king's orders indeed so definite
My work's necessities,to my back are huddled
To the docks,I am confined
Moving in luxury,my body is denied
For the best ships are always the first to fill up
From the mainland's shores,my will carried me
In a battered blue rowboat I went
Cold the waters are
Determination dissolves temperature without a touch
A loner's quest I am pursuing
The greatest assistance I have
He who speaks in my mind, the purpose makes clear
He who does not die,the map and compass holds
In the stern I sit to sing
The battered blue rowboat cuts the water surface.
The great life I left
Independent,innovative and wealthy I was
Cannot blame the aristocratic blood in my veins
In my land,my very heart is King
All visions and goals prostrate to him
Their allegiance they vow
An expanse of wreckage
and pale bodies i pass
For the best ships are always the first to melt
In the ice-burg's heat, the greatest to man are sliced
The battered blue rowboat carries on
Weary and discouraged I am
He who speaks in my mind, declared against the two's claims and
rights
Lost in the night's darkness I am
He who does not die follows the light up ahead, for it is deep within
him,the secret location lays
Like building a house the quest is
Every act is as definite as a ninety degree corner
A steady speed is kept, certainly this course to you has led Me
From the battered blue rowboat,we disembark
In your presence,a second life begins
The king's demands and letters to you,I hand over
For it is your decision, for me to stay or depart
A quest to you I have completed
My assistants,their jobs shall keep
For competent their ways have united us
You agree my king's words are esoteric
To him a rider with a message shall be dispatched
Stuck to his hand, will be the word of my completion of the quest
And this second life proves to be greater
For what is great in man's eye, falls under the greatest in my king's
view
To you I am shackled,my loyal assistants forever serve us
To the battered blue rowboat we owe our gratitude, for this life was
worth the sacrifice.
